3-16-2024 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

"Long Weekend of Deep Sky Observing"

Today we feature an excellent report from OzEclipse (Joe) who spent a whole weekend under mostly clear skies with both his 18" scope, 6" scope, and a 10" reflector. What he observed, with Scribbly (Phil) also present was a wonderful haul of Southern Hemisphere objects.

Not only that, but the transient comet Kushida plus a gather of faint galaxies. A lot of detail went into the explanation of the eyepieces used, an update on the collimation status of the scopes, and other facts. Congratulations Joe on a superb report which wins today's VROD as nominated by several of your peers.
