3-12-2023 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"Astrofeast - Summer 2023"

What could be better than entertaining and dining with friends, weathering a storm, and getting a few nights of observing in looking at some of the showpieces of the Southern hemisphere with a variety of instruments? OzEclipse (Joe) just has had such an experience. In a great report he describes these activities in detail. Also his 18" scope was blown over (but not damaged) by high winds but that still didn't stop the party. Another snafu he had to sort through was a malfunctioning lock which would have made it a chore to haul out the telescopes. All in all a superb report which should cheer us up, especially those impacted by the general bad weather in the Northern hemisphere. Congratulations Joe on winning the VROD for the day!
