3-1-2023 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

"Mars and Luna Get Together"

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. At least one would hope so for would-be Spring observers. Today's featured report for the first day of the month named after Mars is courtesy of The Wave Catcher (Steve). Hauling out his Astro-Tech 80ED he planned on enjoying the conjunction. Starting out with the moon he used an array of powers to zoom over the lunar surface noting some exquisite details of its geology.

After seeing various rills. mountain ranges, and craters he switched to viewing Mars and, in spite of the fact that it is now fleeing the Earth - was able to track down some surface detail. All in all a great report with a fine instrument - congratulations Steve on winning the VROD for the day!
