2-4-2024 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

"Squeezed in a quick session- Comet Kushida ++"

Today's featured report is from OzEclipse (Joe) who spent a session comet hunting near the Hyades star cluster. Before too long he found what he was looking for - Comet Kushida, as a faint and diaphonous haze of light. This is not surprising since presently is near magnitude 12.5 and hence not an easy object in an amateur scope.

Nevertheless he found it and even made a premium quality sketch of the object which he has shared in the Astronomy Reports Forum. After that, he poked around observing Jupiter, the Eta Carinae Nebula and the large Magellanic cloud (LMC). Congratulations Joe on a fine report and on winning the VROD for the day!
