"Sirius and the Pup, and Cancer and Lepus Doubles"

Today we feature a report from Bigzmey (Andrey) who braved a nearly full moon when many observers are chased inside because of the evil orb's glow. However, if one focuses on a class of objects such as double stars it still is possible to have a very rewarding night. In Andrey's case he split many doubles - including the challenging Sirius and the Pup, it's tiny companion which is a tough test of optics, viewing ability, and just the right conditions such as a night of excellent seeing. Congratulations Andrey on the successful Pup observation and on winning the VROD for the day!
