VROD

2-2-2022 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

by helicon

"Poor man's Double Cluster and the 'Holland' Cluster"

For today's featured report we travel back in time to February of 2021 and an observing session by John Baars, who goes after a number of challenging objects in his 6" Achro such as NGC 1807 and 1817 in Taurus, the 'Poor man's Double Cluster" and a plethora of other objects - clusters, a faint globular and a nebula. With his sketches, he approximates closely what is seen at the eyepiece. Congratulations John on winning the VROD for the day!
