VROD

2-13-2023 TSS Visual Report of the Day.

"Lambda Ori cluster last night"

While observing classics like M41 in Ursa Major, pakarinen (Olen) decided to look at some other winter targets including Collinder 69. Also known as the Lambda Orionis cluster, he viewed it through his 72mm scope reaching down to stars of 9th magnitude surrounding the star. He also pulled in M50 in Monoceros. Rising early, he spent some time viewing the moon and some of its prominent features. Congrats on a productive night (and morning) Olen and on winning the VROD for the day. After several days of cometary reports it's nice to get back into DSOs.
