Photo of the Day

11-29-2019 TSS Photo of the Day.

by Gordon

Many of our members are just starting out with Astrophotography and have very basic equipment. Sometimes its just a 60mm inexpensive telescope and a DSLR camera they already own. Sometimes even a cell phone. While these images are often overlooked because of slight flaws or imperfections, they still are pretty spectacular when you consider the difficulty in putting everything together to capture that magic image!

Today we are honoring an example of that sprit!

Lunar images

This image was captured using a $20.00 telescope and a DSLR camera plus some DIY (do it yourself) work to put everything together. Congratulations to Mark (Thefatkitty) for having his image selected as todays TSS APOD!
