"iOptron 150mm Mak first light"

Yesterday Bigzmey (Andrey) composed a super report about his experiences from home with a new scope as part of the legacy of Hankmeister3 (Henry), former forum member and friend of John Donne (Mark), who sent the scope to Andrey. The scope, a 150mm Maksutov, provided views almost as good as a 102mm ED doublet that he used for comparison on the planets, some deep sky objects, and double stars. Interestingly the iOpton was able to offer views of the Double Cluster and Catherine's Rose, both objects being on KT4HX' deep sky objects challenge list for November. While not known for wide field views, Andrey was able to catch both halves of the Double Cluster in the same field of view by using a 2" 36mm eyepiece. What also was noteworthy is the field flatness displayed in the iOptron, which is certainly appreciated. Congratulations Andrey on winning the VROD for the day!
